Welcome to the Society for Airway Management!

The Society for Airway Management (SAM) was founded in Atlanta, Georgia in 1995 as an international, multi-specialty, not-for-profit corporation. We provide an interdisciplinary forum for physicians and others interested in clinical airway management. Members are engaged in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, pulmonology, trauma care, head and neck surgery, EMT / paramedic care, and hail from two dozen countries all over the globe. Members are encouraged to become active by participating in committees, attending the annual meeting and contributing articles to our newsletter, The Airway Gazette.

Call for abstracts:  A limited number of scientific abstracts are accepted for poster and/or oral presentation at the SAM Annual Scientific meeting, usually held in September. Abstracts which may have been presented at other national meetings may be submitted. A "Call for abstracts" announcement will be included in the meeting brochure.

We also offer an e-mail based discussion service where members discuss a variety of airway-related topics. To join, simply send an e-mail to Dr. Will Rosenblatt, the Airway Discussion Forum Coordinator, at will.rosenblatt@yale.edu
